Be a volunteer

As the premier Indian Association in the Triad, we strive to be an organization that promotes volunteer activities and giving back to the community. Last year we used traditional art such as Henna and Mehendi during India Fest to raise money for Hospice Palliative Care. We collected and donated school supplies in early August. During Thanksgiving we collected cans and donated them to the Second Harvest Food Bank. Winston-Salem abounds with volunteer activities for children and adults. Be it ‘Roots’, or ‘Samaritan Soup Kitchen’ one only has to look to be able to serve. We are always looking for new ideas to volunteer in the community. If you have passion and would like to organize an event to serve the needy, we would love to help. Children in high school can earn volunteer hours through the IUCA. Be on the lookout for emails from us for opportunities to make a difference.

I would like to be a part of the vounteer group. I have organized many events in my working life span of 10 years and having recently moved to Winston I want to continue this spirit of social bonding and also promoting our rich culture and heritage!
